Thousands of students use the Knoxville Area Transit everyday, but some have voiced their frustration over its unreliability.
Students such as Mary Taylor, a sophomore, often find themselves waiting for the T with bated breath.
“It’s very convenient, especially for students with disabilities and such,” she said. “However, if it’s running late, which is quite often, then the people who depend on the T are out of luck when it comes to getting to class on time.”
According to the University of Tennessee Transportation System website, the T is supposed to run through a single stop at least every seven minutes during the day.
However, certain times of the day the route gets backed up, much to the annoyance of students.
Ashley Williams, a sophomore, has a simple solution to this problem.
“It’s better to walk to class rather than wait for an obscene amount of time,” she said.
Some more non-conventional students have learned to use the T for late night entertainment.
“Sometimes I ride the Late Night just to meet all the people getting on and off,” Claire Hagan, a sophomore, said. “It’s like a party.”
