Circle Park Parking Tickets

A Police officer at Circle Park writes out four tickets to cars parked without a permit on Wednesday Jan. 31, 2007.

The Police officer wrote out four tickets to cars parked without a visitor-parking pass. Kit found that 11 cars did not have a parking pass. Of the 11 cars without a pass only four had tickets. Kit also noted that three cars of the 11 parked without a pass were parked in handicap parking spaces.

The Circle Park parking lot around the Communication building is small. The parking lot has 75 available spots for parking. To obtain parking pass one must stop at a booth. The worker in the booth gives out a visitors pass. Drivers are to place the visitor-parking pass on the dash of their car. The pass only lasts 45 minutes. Cars without a parking permit will receive a ticket. Kit was sitting outside on a bench watching a police officer. The Officer was walking around the parking lot writing out tickets to cars parked without a permit.
