Afternoon Nap

A student was snoring in the quiet study room of the University Center earlier today. The sounds continued for close to 20 minutes until another student dropped several books from her bag on the table. The noise woke the sleeping student. He sat up on the couch and looked around the room. Quietly and quickly, he put on his jacket and left the room to the relief of the studious bystanders. Lying on the couch with his head on a blue backpack, he was an obvious disturbance to students who, though mostly laughing, were nonetheless distracted. The snores occurred almost once very five seconds. They would often disappear for close to 10 seconds only to return louder. During this student’s nap, his snores were accompanied by minor flatulence which caused one female student to leave the room with a loud groan. His orange shirt had black smudges across the front and his messy hair fell over most of his face.
