The Tennessee Volunteers won their first basketball game of the season against MTSU.
Guard JuJuan Smith finished as the team’s leading scorer in their victory of 83-52. Even more impressive was the fact that he didn’t even score until less then seven minutes remaining in the first half.
The Vols started the highly anticipated season with a starting lineup consisting of two freshmen, forward Duke Crews and guard Ramar Smith.
The next UT men’s basketball game is tonight against Fordham in Nashville at 8:00 p.m.
