Forklifts were beeping in front of Alumni Memorial Building Monday afternoon, as a contracting company unloaded supplies for the new Tennessee Traditions store opening thie year in Neyland Stadium.
Johnson & Galyon General Contractors are building the new store. They also oversaw the construciton of the new club seating area in the stadium, which was completed several weeks ago.
Tony Fraley, of Johnson & Galyon, was on hand Monday as the clothing racks and fixtures were being moved out of a moving truck and into the new store. He had the help of six other men and women as the enormous wooden racks were being transported.
With the wind blowing and the forklift teetering, a small crowd of students were eagerly watching Fraley work as they waited for the bus at the Knoxville Area Transit pick-up area. The rest of the workers also made it fun to watch, as they eased the large loads out of the truck, yelling excited phrases and giving high-fives.
As the last of the supplies were unloaded, the workers wiped away their sweat and headed toward the stadium to finish the day's work.
